Base44 Apps Now Appear Inside ChatGPT

Key Takeaways
- Base44 now appears as a dedicated app in the ChatGPT sidebar for users who connect the two products.
- The sidebar app lists the most recently used Base44 apps, which makes it quick to jump back into current work.
- Opening an app shows a live preview in ChatGPT's side panel, so the result is visible without leaving the chat.
- The preview reloads each time ChatGPT changes the app, which closes the loop between a prompt and its visible result.
- The update builds on the March 2026 Base44 app in ChatGPT, which runs on OpenAI's Apps SDK and Base44's MCP server.
- It shifts ChatGPT from a place that starts builds to a place that keeps existing Base44 projects within reach.
A Base44 app in the ChatGPT sidebar
Base44 added a dedicated app to the ChatGPT sidebar for users who connect Base44 to ChatGPT. The app lists the Base44 apps the user has worked on most recently, so a recent project can be reopened from inside the ChatGPT interface without switching tabs.
Live preview in the side panel
Opening one of the listed apps shows it as a live preview in ChatGPT's side panel. The preview reloads every time ChatGPT changes the app. A user who asks ChatGPT for an edit can therefore watch the result appear straight away, without leaving the conversation.
Why it matters
Base44 first appeared in ChatGPT in March 2026 as an app built on OpenAI's Apps SDK and Base44's MCP server. Before this update, the ChatGPT connection was mainly a way to start and drive builds from a conversation. The sidebar app adds a persistent view of existing work, with an in-place preview that follows the AI's edits. Together these make ChatGPT a more complete place to build and iterate on a Base44 app.
