Base44: Import from Figma to Start App Builds from Your Designs

Base44

Base44 introduced a native Figma import feature that lets users paste a Figma frame link and instantly convert the design into a working app foundation. The imported layout, structure, and visual styling serve as a starting point that can then be extended into a full application using the AI chat.

Import from Figma: Turn Your Designs Into Apps Instantly

Base44 has added native Figma import to its app creation flow, giving designers and product teams a direct path from visual design to functional application.

How It Works

The feature is accessible directly from the Base44 home screen. Users click the + icon in the prompt box, select Import from Figma, connect their Figma account via OAuth, and paste a frame link. Base44 then reads the frame and reconstructs its layout, structure, and visual style as a new app.

From there, the imported design is treated as a foundation. Users can extend it into a complete multi-page application through the AI chat β€” adding missing pages, linking buttons and navigation, or refining spacing and responsiveness.

Requirements and Constraints

Figma Editor seat access is required. The imported element must be a single frame or section from a Figma Design file (FigJam and Figma Slides are not supported), and the file must be shared with "Anyone with the link β€” Can view" permissions enabled.
