Base44: Reusable Skills for In-App AI Agents

Base44

Base44 introduced reusable skills for in-app AI agents, allowing developers to define instruction sets once and attach them to any agent within an app. Skills can be created from scratch, built from built-in templates, or inherited from workspace-level shared skills. Each agent supports up to 10 skills simultaneously.

Reusable Skills for In-App AI Agents

Base44 has expanded its in-app agent system with a reusable skills layer, giving developers a structured way to define agent behavior once and apply it consistently across an application β€” or across an entire workspace.

What Are Agent Skills?

Skills are named instruction sets attached to agents. Each skill carries a name, an optional description, and detailed instructions that guide the agent's behavior during conversations with users. An agent can hold up to 10 skills at once.

App Skills vs. Workspace Skills

App skills are created for a specific app and can be reused across every agent within that app. Workspace skills operate at a higher level β€” they are shared across all apps in the workspace and can be toggled on or off for individual agents.

Built-In Templates

Pre-built skill templates cover areas such as refund policies, support escalation procedures, pricing information, and brand voice guidance.
