Figma: FigJam Diagramming in Claude via MCP
Figma partnered with Anthropic to bring FigJam diagramming directly into Claude, enabling users to generate editable flow charts, Gantt charts, sequence diagrams, and more from natural language prompts, PDFs, images, or screenshots — all without leaving the Claude interface. The integration is powered by MCP and available to Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers.

Figma Brings FigJam Diagramming Into Claude
On January 26, 2026, Figma and Anthropic announced a new integration that brings FigJam's collaborative diagramming capabilities directly into Claude. Powered by the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the Figma connector in Claude allows designers, developers, and product managers to generate editable FigJam diagrams from conversational prompts.
What It Does
The integration enables users to turn text, PDFs, images, or screenshots into structured visual diagrams inside FigJam. Claude analyzes the provided context and generates a diagram populated with shapes, connectors, and labels. Supported diagram types include flowcharts and decision trees, Gantt charts for project planning, sequence diagrams for system interactions, state diagrams for modeling logic, and general-purpose flow and relationship diagrams.
Why It Matters
Before this integration, creating structured diagrams typically required either manual construction in a diagramming tool or copy-pasting content from an AI conversation into a canvas. The Figma MCP connector eliminates that friction by making FigJam a direct output surface for Claude's reasoning.
For Product Managers
Product managers can feed a PRD or requirements document into Claude and receive a first-pass Gantt chart or user flow diagram almost immediately.
For Engineers
Engineers can upload existing documentation or code files and prompt Claude to generate architecture diagrams that visualize service relationships, data flows, or system sequences.
For Designers
Designers can use Claude to transform rough written descriptions of user journeys into structured flow diagrams, then build on them collaboratively in FigJam's open canvas.
Setup and Availability
Users navigate to Settings > Connectors in Claude, locate the Figma connector, authenticate with their Figma account, and configure permissions. The feature is available on any Figma plan and works with Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscriptions (web and desktop).
Anthropic UI Kit for MCP
Alongside the FigJam integration, Anthropic released a UI kit for designing MCP apps for Claude, available in Figma.
