FigJam Diagrams in Microsoft 365 Copilot
Figma launched a new integration that allows teams to generate FigJam diagrams directly inside Microsoft 365 Copilot, without ever leaving the chat interface. Users can reference Microsoft 365 context — including documents and messages — to produce flowcharts, Gantt charts, sequence diagrams, and state diagrams in FigJam with a simple prompt. The Figma app is available via the Microsoft 365 Agent Store starting mid-April 2026.

Overview
Figma has launched a native integration bringing FigJam diagram creation directly into the Microsoft 365 Copilot experience. Through the Figma app available in the Microsoft 365 Agent Store (rolling out mid-April 2026), users can generate fully editable FigJam diagrams without leaving the Copilot chat interface.
What the Integration Does
The Figma agent for Microsoft 365 Copilot understands natural language prompts and converts them into structured visual diagrams in FigJam. Users can reference existing M365 context — such as documents, emails, and messages — to automatically produce diagrams that reflect that content. Supported diagram types include:
- Flowcharts — ideal for mapping processes, decision trees, and user flows
- Gantt charts — for project timelines and milestone planning
- Sequence diagrams — for documenting system interactions and API flows
- State diagrams — for modeling application states and transitions
Once generated, diagrams open directly in FigJam, where teams can collaborate, edit, and iterate using Figma's full suite of whiteboarding and diagramming tools.
How It Works
The integration is built on Microsoft's MCP Apps infrastructure and the OpenAI Apps SDK, allowing the Figma agent to act as a participant in Copilot chat sessions. When a user triggers the Figma agent (for example, by typing a prompt referencing a planning document), Copilot passes the relevant context to the agent, which constructs the appropriate FigJam diagram structure and returns an editable board link within the chat thread.
Accessing the integration requires a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. The Figma app will be listed in the M365 Agent Store and can be enabled by administrators for their organization.
Why It Matters
This integration positions FigJam as a first-class diagramming tool within the Microsoft productivity ecosystem — the suite used by hundreds of millions of enterprise workers worldwide. By removing the need to context-switch between M365 and Figma, teams can move from discussion to visual artifact in a single workflow step. It also extends Figma's AI-native strategy into a new distribution channel, making FigJam accessible to enterprise users who may not already have Figma in their daily toolset.
