GitHub Copilot Coding Agent: Live Log Monitoring in Raycast
GitHub has extended the Copilot integration for Raycast to support live session log monitoring, allowing developers to watch the coding agent's activity in real time without leaving their launcher. Previously, Raycast users could already assign issues and view tasks; this update adds the ability to stream agent logs live within the Raycast interface using Command+L. The feature is available to Copilot Pro, Pro+, Business, and Enterprise subscribers.

Overview
GitHub has enhanced the Copilot extension for Raycast β the popular macOS and Windows launcher β with live session log monitoring. Developers who use Raycast as their primary workflow hub can now track exactly what the Copilot coding agent is doing at any moment, without switching to a browser or the GitHub web interface.
What's New
The Raycast extension now supports live streaming of Copilot coding agent logs directly in the launcher. To access the feature:
- Install or update the GitHub Copilot extension for Raycast
- Open Raycast and run the View Tasks command
- Select the active coding agent session from the list
- Press Command+L to open the live session log view
The log view streams the agent's activity in real time, including tool calls, file reads and writes, reasoning steps, and subagent delegations β the same session log visible on GitHub, now accessible in-launcher.
Context: Raycast + Copilot Integration
This is the third significant expansion of the Copilot coding agent's Raycast integration. GitHub first brought task creation to Raycast, then added issue assignment from the launcher, and now adds live log visibility. The progression reflects a broader pattern of GitHub extending agent observability to wherever developers already spend their time.
Raycast users can now complete a full agent workflow without leaving the launcher: assign a task, watch Copilot work in real time, and review the resulting pull request β all via keyboard shortcuts.
Availability
Copilot coding agent is available to subscribers of Copilot Pro, Copilot Pro+, Copilot Business, and Copilot Enterprise. For Business and Enterprise subscribers, an administrator must first enable Copilot coding agent from the Policies page before the feature is accessible.
The Raycast extension is available for macOS and Windows on the Raycast Store.
