One Place for Agent Customizations

GitHub Copilot in Visual Studio Code now has a Customization Marketplace, announced as part of the Universe 2026 releases. Developers can create, discover and manage agent customizations from a single place instead of hunting across separate sources. The Browse page brings together skills, MCP servers, plugins and other customizations from the sources available to the user.

How to Open It

The marketplace is reached from Customizations in the Agents window sidebar, or by running the Chat: Open Customizations command. This is the same Agent Customizations editor where developers create and manage their own customizations.

Availability

The Customization Marketplace is in preview and is enabled by default. Business and Enterprise administrators need to allow Editor preview features before their users can see it.
