Lovable Connectors: Voice, Research, and Live Web Data as Native Capabilities
On December 23, 2025, Lovable introduced Connectors — a framework for integrating powerful third-party AI services into apps built on the platform. Rather than requiring developers to set up and manage API keys manually or write boilerplate integration code, Connectors expose pre-built service integrations that can be activated from the workspace settings and used immediately in any project.
The first release includes three connectors that address core categories of app functionality: voice, research, and web data.
ElevenLabs — Voice and Audio
The ElevenLabs connector brings text-to-speech, speech-to-text, audio agents, music, and sound effects to any Lovable app. Apps can generate natural-sounding speech across dozens of languages and emotional registers. Developers can build interactive storytelling experiences, language learning tools, meditation apps with custom soundtracks, and voice-driven interfaces — all within the Lovable environment.
ElevenLabs confirmed the integration through its own blog, and highlighted that developers can now use ElevenLabs Agents and leading audio models natively in Lovable without leaving the platform.
Perplexity — AI Research with Sourced Answers
The Perplexity connector gives Lovable-built apps access to real-time web search with verified, cited sources. Rather than returning raw search results, Perplexity synthesizes information and presents answers backed by references — which means apps can provide research-grade responses to user queries.
Firecrawl — Live Web Data and Site Scraping
Firecrawl transforms websites into structured, usable data that apps can query and process. A Lovable app connected to Firecrawl can monitor competitor prices, aggregate job listings from multiple boards, or pull in structured content from any public website. Firecrawl was free for Lovable users through January 2026 when using managed credentials — lowering the barrier to experimentation.
How Connectors Work
Workspace admins enable connectors in Settings > Connectors under "Shared connectors." Once enabled, the integration is available across all projects in the workspace. Personal connectors — like Notion or Linear — remain per-user and are configured separately. This distinction between shared and personal connectors reflects a deliberate design choice: shared connectors are managed at the workspace level for consistency.
