What Changed Under the Hood

Anthropic's Opus 4.7 is a substantial refinement of the Opus 4.6 architecture, with improvements concentrated in agentic workflows and complex, multi-step reasoning. On industry-standard benchmarks, the model scores 64.3% on SWE-bench Pro (up from 53.4% with Opus 4.6) and 87.6% on SWE-bench Verified (up from 80.8%). These gains directly translate to fewer retries and less back-and-forth when building with Lovable.

A significant under-the-hood change is the model's self-verification behavior: Opus 4.7 now checks its own outputs before reporting a task as complete, reducing the frequency of incomplete or subtly broken implementations.
