V0: In-Form Clarifying Questions in the Prompt UI

V0

V0 now surfaces clarifying questions directly inside the prompt form as structured single-select, multi-select, or inline custom-answer options rather than as free-form text responses in the chat thread. Users can select from predefined answers, skip questions, or type custom responses inline, all without leaving the prompt input area.

Overview

V0 has moved clarifying questions out of the chat thread and into the prompt form itself. Instead of answering follow-up questions as free-form text replies, you now respond to structured options right where you type your prompt.

Structured Answer Options

When V0 needs more detail to act on your request, it presents the question as a structured control inside the prompt form. Depending on the question, that can be a single-select choice, a multi-select list, or an inline custom-answer field. The format matches the kind of decision being asked about, so picking the right answer is quick and unambiguous.

Select, Skip, or Customize

You stay in control of how much you engage with each question. You can select from the predefined answers, skip a question entirely if it does not apply, or type a custom response inline when none of the options fit. All of this happens without leaving the prompt input area or scrolling back through the chat.

A Cleaner Prompt Flow

By keeping clarification in the prompt UI, V0 avoids cluttering the conversation with back-and-forth text and makes the intent of each question explicit. Predefined options also reduce ambiguity in how answers are interpreted, which helps the agent build the right thing on the first try.

Why It Matters

Clarifying questions are most useful when they are fast to answer and hard to misread. Surfacing them as structured, in-form controls makes the refinement step feel like part of writing the prompt rather than a separate conversation.
