Warp Introduces Max Plan with 12x Monthly AI Credits

Warp

Warp introduced a new Max paid plan offering 12 times more monthly AI credits than the existing Build plan, giving power users and heavy AI users a significantly higher ceiling without relying on pay-as-you-go overages. The Max plan was added alongside improvements to MCP connection robustness and a new tool panel visibility consistency setting.

New Max Plan for High-Volume AI Usage

Warp expanded its paid plan lineup with the introduction of the Max plan, designed for developers and teams who consume AI credits at a rate that outpaces the standard Build tier. The new Max plan provides 12 times the monthly AI credits included in the Build plan — a substantial increase that targets power users who rely heavily on Warp's agent features, agentic workflows, and AI-assisted coding throughout their daily work.

This addition comes as Warp has been steadily building out its agentic capabilities, with cloud agents, ambient agents, and multi-step coding workflows all drawing from a user's monthly credit pool. For users who regularly hit credit limits, the Max plan offers a structured alternative to purchasing add-on reload credits piecemeal.

MCP Connection Improvements

Alongside the pricing expansion, the February 4 release brought improvements to the robustness of MCP (Model Context Protocol) server connections. Warp enhanced reconnection handling so that MCP servers recover more reliably from transient disconnects, reducing interruptions during agent sessions that depend on external tool integrations.

Other Changes in This Release

The same update introduced support for an agent footer when running GitHub Copilot CLI, improving visibility into agent activity during third-party CLI workflows. A new setting was added to maintain tool panel visibility consistency across tabs, addressing a common workflow disruption where the tool panel state would vary unexpectedly when switching between terminal sessions.

Several bug fixes also shipped with this release, including corrections to scrolling behavior when typing during long-running commands, a fix for the sharing dialog copy link icon sizing, and a resolution to the code review panel getting stuck on "Loading open changes" when multiple repositories were open simultaneously.
